We had another glorious sing here, mid November, filling the place with some very special harmonies.   The next one will be 'WHO KNOWS WHEN'.......

Term Dates

Please click here for next term's dates

Each singing session lasts one and a half hours and the cost for Sheringham and East Runton is either £8.00 per session or if you pay up for a full half term, pro rata £6 per week, so a 7 week term is £42.
In Norwich the payment is upfront for the term pro rata £7.50 per week, so a 7 week term is £52.50.  There is no weekly rate.

If you have to miss a session in your signed-up group you can come to another group for free.  I don't offer free taster session as I think of singing like ice cream - if you like what you paid for you go back for more, but if you don't you simple don't!

Videos

My Sing for Joy choirs are mostly for pure fun but we do perform at least one concert a year, see some of our videos below.  We support a different local charity each time and raise a lot of money.
The very lovely Grahame Woodrow is the soloist here, in Salthouse Church, June 2018
In the video above I like to show an audience how a song is constructed, with the different harmony parts that we sing to accompany the tune.
There are many more videos on Youtube.  If you put Nick Catchpole in the search box you will find them (he is my husband who does all the editing for me)

Some testimonials

What a splendid concert!  The audience was much larger than I had anticipated – and they seemed to enjoy the occasion.  Thank you for your patience and hard work… Cynthia has asked me to say that even though it wasn’t her favourite song from the beginning, Stormy Night was fantastic! (I agree, but then, I liked it from the start).  Bruce F
I can say from the audience it was very good. I particularly found the second half very strong. Odd not to be singing but hope to get back in the swing of it now I will have so much more time.  Well done everyone!
Just wanted to say a big thank you to you for yesterday and the past few months I have been with you.  You have helped me to 'tick another box' on this wonderful journey through life - yesterday was such a lovely experience and I look forward to many more with Sing for Joy. Meg
Thank you, Teresa, so much for making it happen! It was fantastic to be part of something so positive with such a lot of lovely people.  L x

As a teacher I do know just a little of the effort, time, energy and stress that goes into putting on something like tonight's concert so I do totally appreciate all you have done/do. Since January 2012, my Monday night 'sing' has become one of the highlights of the week in my own busy, stressful life. That is partly due to the friendliness of the Binham group, but also due to your commitment to high expectations, great choice of songs and unique teaching style! I LOVE it!  Kathryn
singing holidays sing away

Singing Holidays

The singing holidays that I lead are always in lovely places either in the UK in Europe and now in Morocco.  They are designed for people who want to go away somewhere special with a  group of like minded others, to explore the joys of singing together.

I will be in Morocco in March 2020 and the following year!

FEEDBACK
"The holiday exceeded any expectations that I had before going.
The group interaction was deep, meaningful and really friendly and given the small number of people our musical achievements were amazing!  I loved Monte Rosa, especially the Round House, and the balance of free time was perfect.
It was all such fun and I will definitely go again.  B

The only greater joy to singing on your own is singing with other people!
