Big Sing in Binham Priory
The next one of these will be on June 30th, 2 - 5 pm.
We will meet in the beautiful village hall and learn some lovely simple harmony songs, have some tea and then walk across to the Priory to sing our songs in the glorious acoustic of this magical place.
The cost will be £20. I'd love to know if you are planning to come but you can pay on the door.

Term Dates |
Each singing session lasts one and a half hours and the cost is £10 per session. I encourage people to sign up for a group of 6 or 7 sessions at a time as this gives me some security.
I don't offer a free taster session as I think of singing like ice cream - if you like what you paid for you go back for more, but if you don't you simple don't! |
VideosMy Sing for Joy choirs are mostly for pure fun but we do perform at least one concert a year, see some of our videos below. We support a different local charity each time and raise a lot of money.
The very lovely Grahame Woodrow is the soloist here, in Salthouse Church, June 2018
In the video above I like to show an audience how a song is constructed, with the different harmony parts that we sing to accompany the tune.
There are many more videos on Youtube. If you put Nick Catchpole in the search box you will find them (he is my husband who does all the editing for me)

Some testimonialsWhat a splendid concert! The audience was much larger than I had anticipated – and they seemed to enjoy the occasion. Thank you for your patience and hard work… Cynthia has asked me to say that even though it wasn’t her favourite song from the beginning, Stormy Night was fantastic! (I agree, but then, I liked it from the start). Bruce F I can say from the audience it was very good. I particularly found the second half very strong. Odd not to be singing but hope to get back in the swing of it now I will have so much more time. Well done everyone! Just wanted to say a big thank you to you for yesterday and the past few months I have been with you. You have helped me to 'tick another box' on this wonderful journey through life - yesterday was such a lovely experience and I look forward to many more with Sing for Joy. Meg Thank you, Teresa, so much for making it happen! It was fantastic to be part of something so positive with such a lot of lovely people. L x As a teacher I do know just a little of the effort, time, energy and stress that goes into putting on something like tonight's concert so I do totally appreciate all you have done/do. Since January 2012, my Monday night 'sing' has become one of the highlights of the week in my own busy, stressful life. That is partly due to the friendliness of the Binham group, but also due to your commitment to high expectations, great choice of songs and unique teaching style! I LOVE it! Kathryn |
